ASI:You and Ron – your works were so compatible. Your illustrations and his stories together really came alive.

CARTIER: The most interesting thing about reading stories by Hubbard was that you could read the stories and become a part of them. It was not just the words themselves. It is what they meant. They made you live the part that you were reading. He had a quality that was unique in explaining little things that made you want to read it.

When you read his story, you felt like you were right into the story itself. You would get a very good image of what he was telling in the story. What he wrote about became alive in your mind and you could use your own imagination. I was able to use my imagination on all of his stories, because I could follow his words. Not just his words, but a continuity of thought.

The important quality of his writing was to bring you right into his stories and feeling that you were in the story yourself and you were living them again.
